BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Nam Mokwunye, Founder/CEO:
Nam Mokwunye is a recent Fellow at Stanford University. He has 10 years of experience with strategic business development and management in both the Fortune 500 and start-up environments in American and international arenas. Nam received a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA/MFA from University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he was a Flavin Fellow. He was a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University and was recently awarded a Pop!Tech Fellowship for social innovators.

Gbolahan Elias:
Dr. Gbolahan Elias is the founder of G. Elias & Co., a leading business law firm in Nigeria that has extensive experience in telecommunications, securities, banking, realty, and dispute transactions—to name a few. Aside from his stellar reputation in Nigeria, Dr. Elias is globally known for his book Explaining Constructive Trusts (2001).

BOARD OF ADVISORS

Prof. Bart Nnaji, Chairperson: Bart is a member of the Nigerian President’s National Energy Council, a former Minister of Science and Technology of Nigeria, a chaired professor of Robotics engineering at University of Pittsburg, MD/CEO of Geometric Power Limited, a $250m private equity-backed power company, and a board member of the Abuja Technology Village project (Nigeria’s Silicon Valley). Bart received his B.Sc. from St. John’s University, M.Sc. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and PhD from Virginia State University.

Prof. Kunle Olukotun: Kunle is a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Stanford University, where he led the Stanford Hydra single-chip multiprocessor research project, which pioneered multiple processors on a single silicon chip. Afara Websystems, the company he founded to develop commercial server systems with chip multiprocessor technology, was acquired by Sun Microsystems for over $100m, and the technology is now called Niagara. Kunle is involved in research in computer architecture, parallel programming environments, and scalable parallel systems. Kunle received a BS from Calvin College and an MS and Ph.D. in computer engineering from The University of Michigan. He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM.

Tani Fafunwa: As MD/CEO of Resourcery Limited, Tani is a leader in the systems integration business, having grown the family business into one of Africa’s most recognized technology implementation brands that is partnered with Cisco, HP, Avaya, and many other well-known Silicon Valley companies. His company supplies technology services to the top-tier of Nigeria’s corporate community. Tani received his MBA from Stanford University and B.A. from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
